What the Deckiy app and this website collect, what happens to it, and how to take it with you or delete it. This page describes how Deckiy works today. If that changes, we'll update this page.

What the app stores
- Your account. Email address, username, display name, time zone and study goal. Your password is stored only as a secure hash, never as the password itself.
- Your study material. The text of the notes, documents and vocab lists you add. When you upload a file, Deckiy pulls the text out and doesn't keep the file.
- What Deckiy builds from it. The concepts and questions made from your material, your answers, and your progress: mastery, XP, streaks and achievements.
- Friends and leaderboards. Your friends list and study battles. Other students can see your username, display name, level and XP on leaderboards and in battles.
- Usage and technical records. A record of actions in the app (for example uploading a document or finishing a session) and technical logs, used to keep the app running and to make it better.
How the AI uses your notes
To write questions, check them and grade typed answers, Deckiy sends the parts of your material it needs, along with your answers, to an AI model provider (currently NVIDIA's AI API). This happens from Deckiy's server: the app never talks to the AI provider directly.
Deckiy's own record of each AI request keeps the task, timing and size, not the text that was sent.
Your controls
- Download your data. In the app, go to Settings and tap Download my data to save everything linked to your account as a file.
- Delete your account. Settings, then Delete my account, removes your account, study material, questions and progress. Some records, like how many AI requests were made, are kept afterwards without anything linking them to you.
This website
- No cookies, no ads and no analytics or tracking scripts. Fonts and images are served from this site.
- If you join early access, we store your email address and the time you signed up, and use them to tell you when Deckiy is ready. To be removed, reply to any email we send you or write to .
- The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which handles standard request information such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site.
Security
The app and website use encrypted HTTPS connections. Access to Deckiy's server and admin tools is limited to the Deckiy team, and admin actions on accounts are logged.
